Hummus could be its own food category. It’s often a meal, not a side. Adding greens to the hummus can give it a bitey flavor, unique to its normal rich and creamy flavor.
The greens used were from the brand I Love Organic Girl “Supergreens!” mix. Baby bok choy, baby swiss chard, baby arugula, and baby spinach. Spread it on toast, eat with roasted vegetables, or dip with pretzels… just saying, Quinn Snack’s gluten-free pretzels made with sorghum are the best.
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1 cup greens, packed
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Add all ingredients to a blender, mix until smooth.
